What is a diaversary?
"It is the anniversary of a diabetes diagnosis, and a chance to celebrate progress and growth over the year."
A diaversary allows individuals managing Type 1 Diabetes to celebrate their successes. People with T1D make approximately 180 daily management decisions — we think those milestones deserve celebrating!
Elbowbumpkid Inc partners with The Birthday Giving Program and corporate partners; corporate teams can organize card-making volunteer events using our instructions. Donations are always welcome: monetary gifts, forever stamps, or card creation participation.
Good to Know
When do I need to order the card?
Card orders must be submitted by the 15th of the month before the diaversary date — for example, February 15th for March diaversaries. Please request at least 4 weeks in advance.
Who can receive a card?
Anyone celebrating a Type 1 Diabetes diaversary. Cards are available for United States residents only, and you can choose an online card instead of US mail.
Does it cost anything?
No — the diaversary card program is free, powered by donors and volunteer card-makers. Subscribers receive monthly email updates about programs and resources; unsubscribing removes the card request.
