PARTNERSHIPS

Merlin's Magic Wand

We partner on a Magical Day Out each summer: Merlin's Magic Wand donates tickets and Elbowbumpkid Inc sponsors magical moments for children impacted by Type 1 Diabetes. Families explore the park by age group; newly diagnosed and existing families learn from each other.

Breakthrough T1D

"Breakthrough T1D is a national organization dedicated to finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes." We partner with the CT chapter to connect newly diagnosed patients with both nonprofits, plus several community engagement events annually.

Connecticut Children's Medical Center and Yale Children's Diabetes Program

We are deeply grateful to the Endocrinology Program at CCMC and Yale Children's Diabetes Program for continued support; ongoing referrals connect families with nonprofit resources, scholarships and programs.

Touched by Type 1

"Touched by Type 1 is a Florida-based nonprofit with a national impact, dedicated to raising awareness of Type 1 diabetes, funding the search for a cure, and empowering those living with T1D to thrive." Their D-Box program reaches over 5,000 families annually, and our new programs are featured in the D-Box.

TK.Type 1

"TK.Type 1 is a small nonprofit organization on Long Island — similar to Elbowbumpkid Inc — that provides scholarships to families affected by Type 1 diabetes." Both organizations partner to support their shared mission of helping families thrive despite the T1D diagnosis.

C.E. Floyd

As a virtual, volunteer-driven nonprofit without dedicated space, we are grateful to C.E. Floyd for providing free access to their Middletown office space several times yearly for game nights, Girl Power gatherings, and craft sessions.

Wicked Gluten Free

"Wicked Gluten Free is a New England business dedicated to helping the celiac + gluten free community." With 6%+ of the T1D community diagnosed with celiac, we partner to offer admission to gluten free festivals annually.

SLAMT1D

"SLAMT1D is a Vermont-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals living with Type 1 diabetes" through energy, advocacy, education and community connection via backyard team sports. This year they are helping power Connecticut's Camp Pathfinders day camp by ensuring all T1D children have access to transportation.

Catchafire

Catchafire connects skilled professionals with small nonprofits for volunteer support. Through this partnership we set up QuickBooks, designed professional documents, created our annual marketing brochure, reviewed bylaws, and developed patient resources for Celiac Disease and Type 1 Diabetes.

4imprint

"4imprint's One by One program has been a tremendous support to our small nonprofit," providing items like sling bags and pump belts to families served, plus an annual grant for several years.

CCS Medical

"CCS Medical is a nationwide supplier of diabetes supplies and a long-standing partner to people living with type 1 diabetes." They donated resources for our newly diagnosed family kits.

Pip

"Pip makes simple, safe diabetes care the standard — so you can live beyond yours." Pip donated pain free lancets for newly diagnosed patient kits.

Beyond Type 1

"Beyond Type 1 is a nonprofit organization redefining what it means to live with diabetes." We support and share their initiatives, especially #SeeTheSigns, and their newly diagnosed resource guide is included in our kits.

Friends of Feeney

Friends of Feeney supports children and families after heartbreak and tragedy and hosts an annual backpack event for Hartford kids, where they invited Elbowbumpkid Inc to provide low blood sugar kits for T1D families.

NAPA Auto Parts, Middletown, CT

NAPA Middletown has been supportive since their friend was diagnosed — donating hats to campers, items to the silent auction fundraiser, and attending the fundraiser annually.
